Recently, I have run into a scenario in which when running a Content Indexing job for the Exchange Mailbox Agent for the first time the following message will appear, Content Indexing on the CommServe is disabled. The Content Indexing job will not run and the job won’t run. When checking the CommCell properties, activity is enabled for Content Indexing. Also, I should note, this is not in regards to the Search Engine but rather the Index Server.
To resolve this run the following command. You must run
qlogin in with an admin account first.
qoperation execscript -sn SetCommcellActivity.sql -si ONLINECONTENTINDEX -si y
